International Photo Awards

The International Photography Awards (IPA) is a large-scale international competition founded in 2003, open to professional, amateur, and student photographers. Recent editions have attracted 14,000+ entries from 140 countries, reflecting the contest’s global reach and high level of selectivity. IPA is also closely tied to the Lucie Foundation, supporting its broader mission to honor established work while discovering new talent through exhibitions and awards programming.

Best of Show 2026

“Walakiri Mangroves” was selected for the 2026 IPA Best of Show exhibition by guest curator Elizabeth Krist, who spent more than 20 years as a photography editor at National Geographic. Each year, the curator chooses just 20–25 works from the competition’s first-, second-, and third-place winners across the professional and non-professional categories. The selected photographs join the category winners in an exhibition that travels internationally.
