My Project

Fragilities & Resilience



Displayed on the gates of the Jardin du Luxembourg, this exhibition brings together 80 photographs taken across five continents, setting into dialogue the impermanence of natural forms and the adaptive capacity of human societies.

These transient landscapes show nature at work—icebergs breaking apart, glacial rivers reshaping deltas, dunes advancing, volcanic reliefs, coastlines and islands formed over time. Forms change; cycles endure.

Set against these metamorphoses, human resilience appears through the diversity of cultures. Everywhere, gestures, practices, and rites reveal continuity and an ability to evolve under contemporary pressures—climatic and demographic change, rural exodus, and the growing scarcity of natural resources. Whether rooted in ancestral know-how, ecological adaptation, or a spiritual quest, this strength is sustained by culture, transmission, and closely knit family and community ties.

These images seek neither exoticism nor spectacle: they bear witness to ways of life, knowledge, and forms of belonging—often ancestral—that connect people to their environments, despite the increasing uniformity of lifestyles in the digital age. Landscapes, imagined as immutable, are in fact transient; communities, too quickly labeled vulnerable, reveal a powerful capacity for transmission and ingenuity, as well as endurance that is at once physical, cultural, and spiritual.

My hope, through this journey—through places and cultures sometimes different, sometimes similar to our own—is to invite calm reflection on fragilities and resilience, to challenge preconceived ideas, and to enrich the way we see. I look for images that are felt as much as they are seen, leaving each viewer the space for a personal reading.
