I discovered Morocco through many journeys—crossing from the desert of the south to the Atlas Mountains, always drawn by its contrasts of light, landscape, and culture. Yet it was only in 2025 that I decided to turn my lens toward Marrakech, a city that embodies the country’s vibrancy and layered history. My fascination with Morocco began long before these travels: as a teenager, I was transported there through the pages of Bruno Barbey’s photo books. His images, filled with respect and color, revealed a Morocco both timeless and alive. To walk in Marrakech with a camera today is to retrace that inspiration—seeking to capture, in my own way, the pulse of a place that has shaped my imagination for so long.
